This year the Board has selected a very exciting project for your support.
The Juliette Low Seminar is WAGGGS’ premier leadership event for young women. Leadership development training can help to build capacity in Member Organizations.Through building capacity, we can help our Member Organizations to grow and strengthen so that they can become the voice of girls and young women around the world.Many of the leaders in Member Organizations around the world are past Juliette Low participants.
As a teenager, my experience as a Juliette Low participant at Our Chalet was fantastic. I valued enormously my first experience of being part of a global family and it has influenced my thinking in and outside of Guiding ever since.

This seminar will be taking place at Our Chalet, our World Centre in Switzerland next November. One girl is invited from each of our Member Organizations, but for many of them, the cost of participating is overwhelming, and can even prevent them from attending. The Board is very much hoping that our OB-PS membership will continue to invest in the future of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting with additional support for this event to the amount of £15,000.
